WELCOME
Dear friends and colleagues:
I'd like to welcome each one of you to PERFORMEANDO's blog. This is an open environment to share information about activities, programs, events, and opportunities related to the practice of Performance Art.
Because of the nature of the project, PERFORMEANDO focuses on, and gives agency to artists who identify themselves as Hispanic or Latin/a/no. Nevertheless, the program is inclusive in its scope for collaboration, exchange and dialogue. The initiative was launched in 2013 with several presentations in venues in NYC featuring established and emerging artists living and working in the USA. In 2014, the program was presented in May during the Month of Performance Art in Berlin with the participation of yet another group of artists who created new works for audiences attending the festival.
To see the growth of PERFORMEANDO's network is a great satisfaction. It encourages me to continue for 2015 and beyond expanding its scope to create relations and future collaborations with artists in Latin America and Europe. I hope that the exchange will strengthen the links already established working with friends and colleagues in the Americas and beyond.
Best Regards,
HC
